DAVID MARTEL – DIRECTOR From his early teenage years, photography has been a passion for David Martel. David has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Indiana University at Bloomington. His love of photography led him to supplement his degree, studying photography at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. His photographic expertise has served him well as an advertising executive working at some of the top firms in the country and more recently as Marketing Director for AnnArbor.com, an internationally recognized project at the cutting edge of the shift from traditional newspaper to a digital model preserving local journalism. Following his tenure at AnnArbor.com, David now serves as Vice President of Marketing for NJ Advance Media, directing all marketing activities for NJ.com, New Jersey's largest website as well as the State's largest newspaper, The Star-Ledger. David has a wide range of experience in using pictures and words in both traditional media and interactive mediums to create powerful campaigns. David¹s love affair with photography continues outside of work: camera in hand, shooting breathtaking landscapes and documenting his business and leisure travels around the world. David's community service has included board positions with The Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation and the HIV/AIDS Resource Center (HARC), both non-profit organizations located in Ann Arbor, MI, as well as marketing committees positions with a variety of local non-profit organizations. |
