DAVID SILVER – PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

“Have camera, will travel,” may well have been
David Silver’s calling-card as he travelled the world
as a foreign correspondent, travel film documentary producer and adventurer. Spanning four continents, his wide-ranging assignments have included international tourism, environmental affairs, and creating travel presentations for 23 foreign government travel organizations. His AP, UPI and Gannett News Service pictures and bylines appeared in several thousand newspapers and magazines throughout North America.

He was on the staff of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), one of the world’s best known photographic schools, and developed photo courses in partnership with a major consumer camera company.

David is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Public Communications with degrees in Journalism and Photo-Journalism He served as Vice President of Public Affairs for a major corporation and President
of national media consulting firm.

ROBERT STEWART – VICE PRESIDENT & FOUNDER

“When the world is looking to the left, look to your right, and you will see what they’re missing,” has been Robert’s best advice to the hundreds of photo students that he has taught over the past 25 years.

His photographic teaching credentials at five schools and universities include the prestigious College for
Creative Studies in Detroit. He has often been contracted by international news organizations to provide
photographic location scouting and support.

Photographic assignments have included Hollywood celebrities, special events, top restaurants and city magazines. From New York City to Los Angeles, his well-travelled cameras have recorded images for advertising and editorial projects.

Shooting stock photography from the Seychelles Islands to Scotland and many points in between, Bob has
captured the life and rhythm of our times.

 


DAVID MARTEL – DIRECTOR

From his early teenage years, photography has been a passion for David Martel. David has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Indiana University at Bloomington. His love of photography led him to supplement his degree, studying photography at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design.

His photographic expertise has served him well as an advertising executive working at some of the top firms in the country and more recently as Marketing Director for AnnArbor.com, an internationally recognized project at the cutting edge of the shift from traditional newspaper to a digital model preserving local journalism. Following his tenure at AnnArbor.com, David now serves as Vice President of Marketing for NJ Advance Media, directing all marketing activities for NJ.com, New Jersey's largest website as well as the State's largest newspaper, The Star-Ledger. David has a wide range of experience in using pictures and words in both traditional media and interactive mediums to create powerful campaigns.

David¹s love affair with photography continues outside of work: camera in hand, shooting breathtaking landscapes and documenting his business and leisure travels around the world.

David's community service has included board positions with The Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation and the HIV/AIDS Resource Center (HARC), both non-profit organizations located in Ann Arbor, MI, as well as marketing committees positions with a variety of local non-profit organizations.
